He has also done 590 Robotic Radical Prostatectomy with an average blood loss of 100ml (International Benchmark: 100-200ml), 550 Radical and Partial Nephrectomy using Open , Laparoscopic and Robotic methods and 250 cases of Radical Cystectomy (Removal of Urinary Bladder for Cancer) with Studer Neobladder or Ileal Conduit through Open or Robotic Surgeries.
He played the key role in setting up the Robotic Surgery Programme in Kokilaben Hospital in June 2012.
He also takes interest in teaching and works as an Associate Professor.
He has been chosen Principal Investigator in 4 Clinical Trials and he clarified the question like the Role of Therapeutic and Prophylactic Groin Node Dissection in Clinically N 0 Stage in case of Cancer Penis. He has also acted as a Co-Investigator in 14 basic and advanced Clinical Trials.
He has the honorary membership of the prestigious International Consultation on Urological Diseases (ICUD), an International committee to create Guidelines for management of Penile Cancer. He is one of the 20 members of this International Association.
He engages himself in Research and Publications and has presented Papers and Posters in numerous International and National Conferences organized by the American Urology Association, Asian Congress of Urology etc.
After graduating with MBBS from Mysore University, he pursued MS in General Surgery in the same University. Later he did MCh in Urology from Sir JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College, Mumbai. He then pursued DNB in Genito Urology in Sir JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College, Mumbai.
