The surgical technique ‘Khanna’s Sling Operation’ for vault Prolapse has been evolved by her and received immense success.
She is the recipient of the LifeTime Achievement Award by the Honorable Health Minister Shri.Ghulam Navi Azad.
She was felicitated in Second International Conference Gynae Plastic Surgeons, held in Amritsar.
She has also been felicitated by Kashmiri Samiti, Delhi.
She received Maa Sharika Samman 2007”from “Kashmiri Sewak Samaj in Medicine and Healthcare at Sharika Bhawan, Sector-17, Faridabad.
She delivered the Annual Oration on “Fetal Origin of Adult Diseases” in 26th Annual Conference of Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi in October 2004.
She delivered Achanta Lakshmipur hi Oration for the year 2005-2006 for National Academy of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad.
She has been the Academic Coordinator since 1995 to 1997 and 2002 to 2005 and clinical Coordinator from 2000 to 2002 and from 2008 till date
She received WHO Intra country fellowship in 1982.
She is associated with a number of societies like FOGSI, AOGD,NARCHI,FOGI,IMS.
She is also a member of Association of Diabetologists of India and Indian Association of Gynae-Endoscopists.
She did her MBBS from the University of Jammu and Kashmir in1964 and MD from the University of Delhi in 1969. She received fellowships from WHO, FICOG, FICMCH, NAMS Minimal Access Surgery WALS, AMS Delhi etc.
