He completed his MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Kottayam, MD from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and DM from Madras Medical College, Chennai.
He holds the credit of performing more than 10,000 angioplasties, 3000 Intra Coronary Stenting and 800 Rotablation cases.
He received a fellowship from the European Society of Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular. Angiography and Interventions and American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Mathew is a founder chairman of National Angioplasty Registry of India and president of Asia Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology.
He completed his training in coronary angioplasty from Andreas Gruentzig, US and cardiovascular radiation therapy from Washington DC.
He is regularly invited as a faculty member to annual conferences and meetings of various medical associations.
