He obtained his MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Amritsar in 1977 .Followed by MD (Medicine) & DM Gastroenterology from the famous AIIMS, New Delhi.
He also stood First in Final Professional M.B.B.S Examination.
He received Indian Society of Gastroenterology “Master in Endoscopy” gold medal 2004.
He also did specialized training from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard, Medical School, Boston, USA.
Dr Sud was formerly a teaching faculty for undergraduates & postgraduates students at AIIMS & examiner for Diplomate National Board Examination in Gastroenterology.
He was also visiting professor at Harvard Medical School, Boston USA, University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Galvaston Texas U.S.A & University of Alabama Birmingham Alabama U.S.A.
