He has received training in HPB surgery and abdominal organ transplantation from some of the eminent centres in the UK like Royal Free Hospital, London, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
Dr Rai has finished his American Society of Transplant Surgeon (ASTS) & an accredited fellowship at Methodist Transplant Institute at Memphis.
He also has experience in living donor liver transplantation at Asan Medical centre, Samsung Medical centre in Seoul, Korea.
Dr Rai is regularly invited to speak in some of the well-known scientific meetings in India as well as abroad.
