He is highly experienced in performing hip reconstructive surgery in Avascular necrosis ( AVN), Ankylosing spondylitis, partial knee replacements /high-performance oxonium knee replacement, and shoulder resurfacing surgery.
He has treated 1100+ patients from North America.
He has special inventions such as the coaxial stitch technique for accurate limb length adjustments while performing surgery and the reciprocal method of tibial plateau resection in TKR.
After completing his MBBS from the University of Madras in 1989, he pursued MS in Orthopedics from the University of Mangalore in 1992 followed by DNB in Orthopedics from the National Board of Examinations in 1994.
He is actively associated with various organizations including the Indian Arthroplasty Association, INDIAN SOCIETY OF HIP AND KNEE SURGEONS, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Asia – Pacific Arthroplasty Association, and Tamil Nadu Orthopedic Association.
He is a recipient of several awards and recognitions.
He has been invited as a Guest Speaker to various national and international conferences.
He has performed live surgical demonstrations in hip, knee and shoulder surgeries.
