Dr. Arun Garg is one of the most respected & renowned neuromuscular surgeons, and currently working as head of the stroke neurology at Medanta, the Medicity.
With a thriving experience of over 26+ years and primary focus on stroke, he is famed for developing a three-tier system in north India, where primary and secondary brain rescue centres are connected to hub hospital, Medanta-The Medicity, Gurgaon through network of ambulances and telemedicine.
Earlier in his Career, he has also developed neurology services in Max hospital, Partapganj New Delhi.
Dr. Garg has done his MBBS, MD General Medicine and DM (Neurology) from the eminent Swai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur.
He has done a training in stroke prevention/ education/ treatment/rehabilitation/ latest research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMASS), Massachusetts, USA
He is proficient in Neurorehabilitation, occupational therapy, and stroke prevention.
Dr. Arun Garg has pioneered the role of thrombolysis in Acute Stroke in North part of the country.
He has tied up with the University of Massachusetts Amherst (umass), Massachusetts, USA for stroke prevention, education, treatment, rehabilitation, latest research.
He has published articles in many national and international journals and has a keen interest in teaching.
Dr Garg has a vision is to develop “Brain rescue” programme for the immediate and long-term management of individuals with stroke, covering entire north India with an epicentre at Medanta. This will be the first of its kind in India which matches international healthcare standards.
